About Me

Hi! My name is Kathryn Deiss, and this site reflects my life right now.

Art – my own and that of others – is a passion for me and I hope to share some of the things that truly inspire me. In my work life, I love helping organizations and leaders develop. I am the Content Strategist for the Association of College & Research Libraries, a non-profit association serving academic and research librarians. In that role, I seek interesting content to publish, work on our e-learning program, and serve as an organizational consultant and facilitator – work which I particularly enjoy.

My friends and family inspire me and sustain me and the values I try to live by are optimism, compassion, curiosity, and creativity. I love sharing stories and think nothing is more interesting than hearing the stories of other people.

    Hi, Kathryn!
I love your website and the fact that you’re an artist. I practice my craft onstage and like you, it’s what truly inspires me. Now that I’m a library dean, I don’t have as much time for acting, but I manage at least one play (and sometimes a student film) each year. Otherwise, I’d go nuts.

    Keep creating!
    Adrian

Hi Adrian! Thanks so much for your comment. Time is hard to find isn’t it? But without our inspirations and passions we would be pretty hard pressed to do good jobs elsewhere, right?!

Hi. Our New Mexico friend pointed me to your new site. Beautifully done! I’ve bookmarked for future inspiration. I’m reading a book called Crow Planet about the life of crows and other musings. Speaking of systems, their system of survival seems to be working well, even in urban areas.
